Performance

A few different powertrains can be used to power the Crosstrek. Our first two trims, which are the base trim and the Premium, run on 2.0-liter engines. They have 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque, and they come with symmetrical all-wheel drive. This system will provide you with additional traction when the roads are slippery, and it can also be useful when you're cornering. The vehicle would do all the work to make the right adjustments at the right time, so there's nothing you have to be concerned about when it comes to all-wheel drive. These two trims come standard with a manual transmission, but there's the option to get a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The next two trims, which are the Sport and Limited, use 2.5-liter engines. These engines can do more since they have a larger displacement. They can provide 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque, so they'll be attractive to those who value performance. Each of these trims has a Lineartronic CVT.

Finally, there's the Crosstrek Hybrid. It's the best choice for eco-minded drivers who want to conserve fuel as they drive. The hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter engine and an electric motor. Net horsepower is 148. The hybrid has all-wheel drive and a CVT, just like the rest of the Crosstreks do.

Exterior Features

The Crosstrek looks modern and has an athletic frame. It sits 8.7 inches off the ground so that it can clear a variety of obstacles. The aluminum-alloy wheels on one of these Subaru models will either measure 17 or 18 inches. The headlights can add to this crossover/SUV; some trims have LED fog lights and LED Steering Responsive Headlights. These headlights can adjust their angle depending on the direction that the vehicle is traveling. When driving on dark roads that have many turns, they can be quite effective. Many trims also have turn signals integrated into their side mirrors. If you're someone who loves the idea of letting natural light stream into your cabin, consider opting for a power moonroof. This is an option on all trims, except for the base model.

Interior Features

Many customers feel that the Crosstrek has the right amount of space. In the back, the cargo area measures over 20 cubic feet. That can be expanded to over 55 cubic feet by lowering the rear seats. Since the rear seat has a 60/40 configuration, you have a little flexibility in setting things up. If you need to drive with one or two passengers in the back, you can lower part of the rear seat instead of the whole seat.

The range of trims makes it easy for potential customers to find the right set of interior amenities. Our base trim has manually adjustable front seats and cloth upholstery, and it also has a 6.5-inch touchscreen with smartphone compatibility. The Premium has been upgraded with heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rear cargo tray that can help with storage, and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. The Sport has similar components, but it has paddle shifters and StarTex upholstery. In the Limited and Hybrid, there are eight-inch touchscreens with available navigation. These two trims have power-adjustable seats for the driver's position, leather upholstery, 6.3-inch color displays that show vital information.
